A pilot is starting soonThe Pliant CLI is not generally available yet. We are starting a pilot soon. If you are interested, reach out to Pliant support.
What it is
The Pliant CLI brings Pliant to the command line. Where Pliant MCP is for chatting with an AI assistant, the CLI is for work that runs without a chat window: scripts, scheduled jobs, CI pipelines and coding agents.
| 🧰 Same capabilities as MCP | ⌨️ Built for automation | ✅ Confirm before it acts |
|---|---|---|
| Search transactions, review cards, update coding, attach receipts and analyze spend. | Commands return clean output that the next step in a script or pipeline can use. | Changes are previewed first and need a human yes. It acts as you, with your permissions. |
Which interface fits?
| MCP | CLI | REST API | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Used by | AI assistants you chat with | Scripts, scheduled jobs, coding agents | Your own software |
| How you use it | Ask in plain language | Run commands | Call HTTP endpoints |
| Acts as | The signed-in person | The signed-in person | Your organization's API credentials |
| Setup | Add a connector in your AI tool | Install the CLI and sign in | Build and maintain an integration |
| Before a change | Your AI tool asks for approval | Preview, then human approval | Your code decides |
Not sure which one you need? Start with MCP for chat, and ask us about the CLI when you want to automate.
